Mission:
To provide a forum for professionals and trainees of diverse backgrounds to develop and promote evidence-based radiation oncology education projects within the scope of patient education.
Initiatives:
- Patient education methods survey – a ROECSG-wide survey of provider and institutional patient education practices, presented at the ROECSG, CARO and ASTRO conferences
- Results are now published in the Red Journal, IJROBP: https://www.redjournal.org/article/S0360-3016(24)00332-8/fulltext
- Congratulations to first author, Dr. Jie Jane Chen, on receiving the 2024 ROI Publication Excellence Award for this manuscript
- Cancer Health Literacy Patient Education Resources (C-HLPER) – funded by an ACRO Luther Brady Educational Grant, available in English and Spanish for three disease sites including breast cancer, oropharynx cancer, and lung cancer
